Correct, no docs for the Cirrus Logic drivers mentioned by Jonas-fr above. I recently obtained this 386 luggable and although it has paper manuals for the motherboard and peripherals, there is nothing about the CL card except for some penciled-in DIP switch settings and two 3.5” and one 5.25” floppy containing (among other things) the drivers. I will actually double-check the versions; I may have more than one. But no docs on them.

Posted your utils to the library. Could you please take a look and let me know if there is any other info I could add ?
I did create some .txt files for each .com with what little I could glean out of them.
Thanks !

Ok, thanks. I did find the Cirrus GD-610/620 datasheet and was able to list out some of the commands to .txt from the utils. Guess I will have to make up some docs it you do not find anything. Google was useless of course 😀

I can write something basic based on my usage of these if that would be accepted/useful, I thought you were talking about an official documentation.

Hi there,

I've recently spent some times to download stuff for my Intel SE440BX-2 Mobo. Some of them are really tricky to get ( like Russian websites 😈)

I think it would make sense to have this uploaded to VogonsDrivers

Bios Revision notes from P1 to P17
CPU Support list ( html capture from Intel's website before they deleted everything )
Bios files : P10, P13 P14, P15, P16, P17

Tell me how you prefer to proceed

My opinion is that the notes, manual and last BIOS would be good. I do not think there is a need for all those BIOS revisions, only the last BIOS is of any value to most but feel free to upload them.

AFAIK, Intel boards are a special case where newer BIOSes sometimes locked out certain CPU models. With that in mind, keeping all BIOS versions might be preferable in this specific case .

Absolutely. In my case, P10 Version accepts my PIII 850 but not the newers Revisions.

Edit : I put it here if someone can upload it to VogonsDrivers : http://213.246.45.138/share/SE440BX-2.zip

I recently got a Philips Sonic Edge 5.1 PCI sound card (the model number is PSC605/17).

It was pretty hard to find drivers for that, so maybe these can be added to vogonsdrivers so others don't have such a hard time.

The archive includes separate drivers for 9x, ME, XP and a web driver pack (I think that one combines those three into one package).
Also included are the manuals.

Love it! hope to keep the archive updated eventually. This is going to do wonders for using old tech as I find them.

As a heads up, Malwarebytes is blocking vogonsdrivers for a Trojan.

"Website blocked due to a Trojan

Your Malwarebytes Premium blocked this website because it may contain a Trojan.

We strongly recommend you do not continue."

Possibly in one or more of the uploads, or possibly a false positive.

What ? What file were you trying to DL ? If you were just browsing looking at files then it should NEVER flag a site because it should not be scanning files NOT included in the Web browser part if you did not DL them. I have Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware and neither has ever complained about looking thru Vogons Driver Library.

I guess there will always be false positives from snakeoil software.

Google Safe Browsing is the worst of it, because it blocks websites with a big red background to scare users whenever it detects a "virus".

The only way to get rid of these is putting the files into password-locked archives so they cannot be scanned automatically anymore. But that's just a different way of annoyance.

It was when I went to the main page, it doesnt show now on my end, but was doing it all day yesterday.

Just posted as a heads up just in case, appears "fixed" now.

I recently got one of the Aztech Waverider Platinums with the WaveTable, and upon downloading this file here, I discovered that the image for the Music Workstation CD seems to be corrupt. It will not open as an archive, nor will it burn to a CD.

What are you using to burn the CD image ?
I just DL'd, used 7-zip (v16) and tested the archive and then extracted the files, no problems. I opened the .img in \Aztech Midi Music Workstation CD folder using Ultra ISO and it loads just fine, read all the readme.txt just fine but did not burn a CD. I also loaded the .bin/cue into ImgBurn and it says it is fine.

I tried mounting with Linux Mint first. Nothing. Never opens. (the floppy images do though) I tried burning the CD image with Brasero, 350 MB. Nothing. Just spits out the disk. I tried using the archive manager, and it says it is not a valid Archive type. I redownloaded the files and tried again. Same results.

I then tried downloading it on a separate computer, one running Windows 8, and opening it with 7zip, version 19. It simply says it cannot open the CD image as an archive.

Are there multiple mirrors that Vogons automatically chooses based on one's location?

I do not know of multiple mirrors but 7zip cannot open an .img or .bin/.cue afaik but it will open .ISO files. You should try Imgburn on your Windows 8 machine, it is free and can burn the cd image.

I just did that and it did indeed work. Thanks for your help.

In the end it didn't matter because the card will not accept the drivers for Windows 95. I may trie forcibly installing them later but I'm too disgusted with this and other issues at this point. Such is this hobby.

Great ! at least you have the CD now, yes I get how putting many hours into this hobby work can result in no progress and much frustration.

I uploaded a couple of disk images to Archive.org that someone might be interested in collecting in VogonDrivers:

- Gateway 2000 AnyKey Utility Disk. This utility saves/restores the nvram in the keyboard. https://archive.org/details/gateway-2000-anykey

- Jazz16 Driver Disk (Gateway OEM). This driver disk has the same Jazz16 driver as what's already in VogonsDrivers but it installs a Philips/LMSI CD driver. https://archive.org/details/16MVLCARDDSKX

Cheers.
