I just noticed that I've never posted some information I have for my Matsonic build if someone can post them as well 😀

Manual
ms7112c.pdf
Latest Bios : 06302k.BIN (06-30-2000)
Old Bios ( the One I had ) : old.bin
Matsonic 7112c.zip

I will up them later, did upload the Jetway manual to the library today.
Might put the BIOS up too but could not find much info on them, unlike some other companies that give lots of info on their BIOS updates as to what they fix, which flasher to use, etc

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. https://archive.org/details/@horun

Seems the "last" version of the Bios was released quickly by Matsonic.
However, I'm having a "unknown flash type" error message after post with this BIOS. I had to put the "JP7: Flash BIOS Enable/Disable Jumper" to "Enable" to remove this message.

Greetings all! I cannot get the .7z file on your ATI catalyst drivers collection to open after downloading 3 times and having winrar give me an error on opening file. I noticed the exclamation point in front of the file name and don't know if it is the cause for the winrar error to open file. I even renamed the file after downloading and still no success in opening the archive. Any ideas or can it be put in a .zip format? I appreciate all help and all have a great day! Sincerely, Beeman

Both Winrar 3.93 and Winrar 5.0 will extract the files w/o changing the name, just tried both....and 7zip will too 😀

I downloaded it and the zip unpacks fine, files inside the archive seem OK too. Thanks.

I have a floppy disk labeled "SQ555 Utility Software release 2.0". It's already included in your upload @Horun?

If you could Winimage the floppy will post it. Is earlier version than the ones I upped but may be useful !

Added SyQuest EZ135, EZ230, SyJet and SparQ drivers for PC

Driver and BIOS image for Appian Jeronimo J2 graphichs card. It's a dual monitor solution based on two Cirrus Logic CL-GD5462-HC-B Laguna chips on one board.
Driver is for Windows 95 but works for 98 also. The BIOS chip is labeled as version 1.05. Both files are nowhere to be found on the web.

I've been playing around with a Gateway Essentials 500 desktop PC for a little while now, turning it into a retro gaming PC for some light nostalgia trips. It has an Intel Warm Springs WS440BX motherboard in it and when I received it I noticed that it didn't have the most recent BIOS installed. After checking vogonsdrivers, Gateway support, and Intel support, I couldn't find exactly what I needed. Further digging through Google DID reward me with what I think is the final BIOS version for the WS440BX, being 4W4SB0X0.15A.0019.P14.0005091032.

I flashed it to the board without problems and everything is working great.

I'd like to offer this BIOS update for posting on vogonsdrivers in case anyone needs them in the future. The files included needed to be put on a floppy disk and loaded from DOS, as the disk wasn't bootable and it wouldn't open from Windows. Link below:

Hi parshath20. I am going through a similar search for the latest bios for a Gateway Essential with a "Freeman" motherboard. I can find the support/driver page using the Wayback Machine (https://web.archive.org/web/20030108204723/ht … .asp?pn=2507160), but it looks like Gateway used an FTP site for their files so these were not backed up.

I have Googled around for another option and found the file listed on bios-drivers.com but it doesn't seem to have the file for download ... it just links to download Driver Easy. The latest bios is 4F4JZ0XB.15A.0011.P09 which was included in the file 7507925.exe from Gateway. I haven't been able to track this down elsewhere. Just wondering where you found the bios update for your board?

Thanks!

Thanks for the link. Just curious how you found this and how to confirm it is the correct bios for the board?

Thanks for your help.

Happy to help 😀 - it's just one of those 'curious' skills you pick up if you're here at Vogons long enough...the ability to track down elusive Gateway BIOS files!!! You're right about their ftp never having been archived by Wayback, but the fact is that many of the same files are scattered across their various http sites, which have been. I have some Wayback links which find me most of what members want, followed by uploads to Vogons Drivers Library and then google searches (frequently results in pointers to driverguide.com).

If you're ever searching again, try one of these links

https://web.archive.org/web/200*/http://www.g … /bios/desktop/* (the one I used this time)

https://web.archive.org/web/20070125165315/ht … esktop_bios.asp (much the same, but laid out in table form)

I do double-check most times just to be sure, and in this case the full BIOS string when vp09.exe is extracted is 4F4JZ0XB.15A.0011.P09.9911011132
