I thought I'd post the results from my different systems as well. It's amazing to see how much PC's have evolved in terms of pure number crunching.

file.php?mode=view&id=14569&sid=bf3671f3c59d8c5b3a724c7fff4ee102

Since this picture lacks any system info, I'll just mention that it's the 486 from my signature. Basically a Cyrix 486 DX4 100MHz, 256KB Cache, 64MB RAM, SiS496/497 chipset.

file.php?mode=view&id=14570&sid=bf3671f3c59d8c5b3a724c7fff4ee102

This one is my Win9x gaming rig with 3dfx Voodoo 2.

file.php?mode=view&id=14571&sid=bf3671f3c59d8c5b3a724c7fff4ee102

The Compaq Deskpro EN is ALMOST finished in terms of upgrades/changes. It's now got a Tualatin with a built-in converter to make it work in my FC-PGA1 socket and Ultra160 SCSI. Only things left (I think) is a USB2.0 card and a new case.

file.php?mode=view&id=14572&sid=bf3671f3c59d8c5b3a724c7fff4ee102

This is from my day-to-day system. It's been with me for a few years already, and will probably have to last a few more before I can afford to get something faster. Still pretty respectable results for a first-generation i7 though.

Just for comparison I ran Super Pi for Android on my now "retro" Samsung Galaxy S, which uses an ARMv7 1000MHz single core CPU. 1M was finished in 91.242 seconds (on the 2nd run through to make sure the first at 89 seconds wasn't just a dud). This suggests that for calculations like these, the ARM architecture is very efficient, seeing as it beats out my PIII-S 1400 😮

DOS6.22 : Intel DX4, 64MB RAM, 1.6GB HDD, Diamond Stealth64 DRAM, GUS 1MB, SB16.
