Update:

I got this Number Nine #9GXE64 S3 Vision864 1MB PCI card yesterday:

As some may notice it is the same brand, model and chip as my VLB card (image by Artex):

System 1: Asus VL/I-486SV2GX4 motherboard /w 1MB L2 cache (SIS 471), 1x32MB FPM 60ns RAM
System 2: FIC PT-2003 motherboard (Intel 430FX), 2x16MB EDO 60NS RAM

This should make comparison easier between the two systems. Here is the new results (based on the methods used in Phils VGA Benchmark):

Pentium 100 with 256kb pipeline cache and with slow DRAM settings seems to equal the VLB system almost perfectly 😀
