Digital is not possible on the 4x VSA chips. Something to do with some Analogue SLI when using 4 chips.

HDMI etc is possible on 2x but not 4x chips.

Ahhh. Gotcha.

Wonder if a converter could be added🤔

Those boxes and the card are beautiful. How's the performance of them?

In the 128MB mode the same performance as an original Voodoo5 6000 I guess. Same clock speed and same BIOS/drivers.

It might be uncouth to ask, but what's the asking price of these?

Quite expensive, $1500. There are not so many made. An original prototype Voodoo5 6000 is a lot more expensive though.

For all the work that went into developing it, a fair price, I think. Thanks!

The new revisions and boxes looks great.

The AGP version does not require a separate 2D card. Both cards has a jumper for selection between 128MB or 256MB memory.

Don't forget about the card names he gives them, I definitely like those! 😜

Personally I think seeing all these reproduction cards (and I'm not talking about these 3dfx cards exclusively here) is as a hole a great development for the retrocomputing community 🙂

I'm not a huge fan of the black-pcb-black-connector-etc fad of the last years though. I think I'd want a pcb color pink/lighter purple/green/asus-yellow or something, but with clearly copper heatsinks xD

Btw I'm still waiting for an RGB-lighted reproduction card (of whatever make and maker) to appear at some point and I wouldn't be so sure what I would think of that xD 😬
Or what about a V5 6k with heatpipes? 😮

These looks indeed impressive projects (not only the quad VSA new versions) that I'd never thought someone would make it real, not necessary for the meaning of the old never released product which had more than a reason to not be released in its times considering the alternatives already more advanced solutions even when/if at lower speed but more for the complexity of the whole PCB design, the optimizations that seems to take benefit of modern components and better ideas with a very clean PCB and less components. For what I've seen, I prefer even more anyway also his single chip projects of less known cards that probably are even more interesting from a testing point of view.
