How do you change the resolution in Q2DOS using the software renderer?

In the video menu, I select 1024x768 and hit enter. I hear a sound. But the screen doesn't change and if I exit and come back into Q2DOS, the res is back at 320x200.

I tried changing the resolution in the console, but the console says gl_mode, gl_customwidth, and gl_customheight are unknown commands.

I'm using Q2DOS_EXE_STABLE from 9-30-2015 on an asrock 775i65G, Celeron 450 (2.2 GHz), Geforce FX5700 with fastvid.exe 111 128 e0000000, and Vortex2 in MS-DOS 7.

EDIT: Nevermind, I fixed it. Turns out at the default 320x200, the apply button at the bottom is hidden off the screen. I was able to set the resolution to 1024x768 now.

Win10 - AMD Ryzen 9 3900 - 16 GB - GeForce RTX 2060S - Sound BlasterX AE5-Plus
Win98SE - ASRock 775i65G R3.0 - Celeron 2.2 GHz - 2 GB - GeForce FX5700 - Audigy 2 ZS
Win98SE - Via Apollo Pro Mobo - Pentium II 233 - 256 MB - Voodoo 3 1000 - Yamaha YMF724

Sorry, didn't even see this thread. Glad you figured it out. Because of this misleading trickery at default res I may have to shift the menu around a little so apply changes is visible.
