i kinda got out of bieng a nerd back in 1994 i was too worried about techno music to worry about vlb cards!!!! and im quite sure they were
too expensive for my unemployed ass !!! i had "BBS" friends who had them tho!!! back in the dial up days... with my 14.4 supra faxmodem
+ remote acess BBSes!
Depending on the motherboard, VLB can be faster and less troublesome than PCI. This is specially true for some really bad early implementations of the PCI bus that was just bridged to VLB. If your motherboard is PCI only it is fine, but if it is one of those with both types of slots you have to do some research.
