I can't seem to get my Sidewinder 3D Pro working under Windows 10, is it the gameport to USB adapter I use? I use a somewhat generic looking Radioshack adapter since that's all i have as of right now. If it's that can you guys recommend a good gameport to USB adapter? EDIT: Theres also a handful of pins seemingly missing from the joystick's connector, is that also what could be causing the issue? For reference I'm trying to calibrate it under joy.cpl

That gameport adapter will not work. The Sidewinder series uses a proprietary digital protocol that is not compatible with a standard analog gameport adapter.

There is a project to create this adapter here: https://code.google.com/archive/p/sw3dprousb/

I had one made for me and it works very well. I have a Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro and even the feedback stuff works on it. I had to wait an incredibly long time until I could get mine, and I think the dude who made mine has stopped making them.

Correction, he is still making them, you can sign up here: http://www.iowajohnsons.com/FFBVert/FFBVert.html

The waiting list still looks pretty long.
