Yea, I was actually hoping for some VESA support from the BIOS. Which Trio64 86c764-P based card to you have and would you be willing to share the BIOS image? Yes, I have an EPROM writer.

I checked my inventory and it looks like I have cards with 86C764X only.

Ok, thanks for looking. I'm sure one will turn up.

The picture of the Trio64 VLB card with the 96 datecode was mine. Would you like a copy of the BIOS image? I am pretty sure I dumped it recently.

After 5 years, still haven't found the BIOS for Diamond Stealth64 DRAM-T VLB with 86c764-P chip and BIOS v2.02 and later. Anyone have it?

Here you go:

I also have Stealth 64 Video PCI BIOS 2.07 (TI 220 MHz) and 3.00 (with IBM 220MHz DAC) you discussed in other thread if that's of any use.

Thanks. I suppose I should have been clearer. I'm looking for at least BIOS v2.02 on the DRAM T. I've updated that post. You can see some of the reasons why I want the updated Diamond BIOS in this other thread: Re: Preferred UniVBE version for Diamond Stealth 64 DRAM T VLB (Trio64)

OK. I had a card with 2.02, but I traded it without saving BIOS 🙁

I also found BIOS 2.09 in my ROM archive. However, It was not captured by me so not sure which exact card variant it came on

The v2.09 came on the cards with 764X rather than 764-P. From my tests, if using 2.09 on a card with 764-P, you won't be able to soft-reset any more. If you are interested, this is all explained in the other thread I linked. I think you'll be wishing you had saved that 2.02 BIOS.

Would you be willing to ask the individual you traded it with if he'd be willing to copy the 2.02 BIOS?

I have been trying to find a BIOS for a Diamond Stealth 64 VRAM PCI greater than V1.01, but it seems V1.01 is the only one available so far.

However, I do have a Diamond S3 Trio64 DRAM T PCI with V2.02! I dumped the BIOS with my TL-866 programmer. No idea if it is compatible with the VLB version though.

Brightraven, thank you very much. I now have v2.02 from two sources to test. Surely one will work! There may also be a v2.06 floating around I'd like to try if anyone has it.

What RAMDAC is on your PCI Stealth 64 Video RAM VLB? From my experience, the BIOS contained on boards with the IBM RAMDAC don't work with those having the TI RAMDAC.

For those with IBM RAMDAC, I have BIOS v3.00. For those with TI RAMDAC, I have BIOSes v2.03 and 2.07. I'll take a gamble that you have the TI RAMDAC. See attached.

I've got a P board with v2.02 if you need anything. I also have another board with V2.01 (P also).

OK, thanks for letting me know. It will probably be another month before I even try the v2.02 on my DRAM-T card. Too many other things in the works...

What the hell is this? Nothing for five years, and suddently v2.02 BIOSes falling from the sky like pennies from heaven.

I was simply not aware of this and the other thread where I shared the 2.09 version.
To me the different bios versions didn't do anything special. So never a point of interest, otherwise would respond 2-3 years ago.
I assume the other contributors here come from similar place.

I tried v2.02 BIOS this evening on my Trio64 VLB DRAM T 86C764-P. Unfortunately, the VESA modes from 2.01 are the same as 2.02. BIOS version 2.09 adds VESA mode 100 (640x400x8bit), but you won't be able to soft reset when using the -P VLB variant. I guess I'm looking for BIOS version 2.06 now.
