Has anyone had any experience, thoughts, etc. to share regarding DOSBox IPX networking over the internet and not just over local LAN?

I've done local LAN games a million times and they always work perfectly. Today I tried to do a game over the internet with my sister (we live in different states now 😐 ) with a UDP port on her router, and it couldn't connect. I tried pinging her router's IP address and that didn't work, so I'm thinking that's the problem. I'll fix it eventually.

Funny thing though, I tried a different game (not on DOSBox) over the same port and everything, and it worked perfectly.

I wasn't specifically asking for help with that problem, I was just wondering if anyone had some tips and tricks for this sort of thing.

Ah, it has to be 213? I have port 5029 open, and since I'm using NetKeen I just set "Port" to 5029 in the launcher (which runs ipxnet etc. automatically). Does ipxnet expect port 213?

I have used Yang and CGA to play multiplayer DOS games (DOOM, Blood, Terminal Velocity, Duke3D, Netkeen, Magic Carpet, Warcraft, Death Rally, ...) with random people. Although there doesn't seem to be any people online anymore. But if you're playing with a friend/friends then that's not a problem.
