Heya,

I'm getting some weird flickering from my 2D card and it's only when it's being passed through the voodoos. So I reckon I need a new pass through cable. I tried that star tech monitor saver but it's pins were the wrong way round, I ended up ripping them out but it was not a very elegant solution so I ended up chucking it out.

My ebay search has turned up nothing 🙁

Have you tried looking at VGA splitter cables? They have an extra output but are often the right length and should do the job.

See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.

I have bought a 30cm cable once. I have also noticed that on a Matrox G400, the picture was smooth with a 70 to 75 hz refresh rate. Having the Matrox going at 60hz, made some really wierd scanline frequency or some interferance issues. A bit like when old cellphones were too close to the monitor when recieving a text message. (back in the days when we had Nokia 3310)

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.

Yes! This is definitely my issue, nice explanation. I guess I'll try experimenting with different Hz rates first. Thanks.

No problemo. 😀 Every card are different, it just happen to solve it in my case. I have not tried this on other cards, like GeForce or TNT2 cards.
