Hi All, ive built up My XP gaming machine last night and installed all the drivers and Far Cry, Im just wondering would I need to use Alchemy at all?

Im thinking not as my OS is XP but then the sound didn't seem quite right. I have speakers set to 5.1 in windows/SoundBlaster Console and in the game its self with hardware acceleration enabled in game also.

Will Post some Pics of my ultimate XP machine when complete.

You do NOT need ALchemy under Windows XP 😀

It's purely needed for Vista and later, to restore what works under XP out of the box.

Thanks, thought as much, I will have another look tonight, it just seemed like the speech was coming from the side speakers rather than the centre.

Oh btw, sent you a message through your web site but ran out of time to finish it, anyway posted on here regarding my mystery motherboard I found in my loft.
