I didn't say you need KernelEx, just use an older version of 3DMark03 (earlier than v360), like this one:

I do know that X850 XT is better than 6800 Ultra. And maybe I will buy one, since I can. Damn you retro PCs you just make me buy more outdated stuff just for the fun of it! 😁

3DMark2003 is not CPU dependant at all. I can hit 10K in 3D'03 with a PIII-S @ 1575 and 6800GT. And pairing that 6800GT with a 2.8GHz A64 only increases the score to 12.9K.

I don't think you mean what you said. It is hitting a scaling limit as CPU power increases, but it certainly hasn't hit that limit on your PIII-S. An A64 appears to remove that limit let alone a C2D. However, the fact that there was an increase at all indicates some CPU dependency.

You're quite right. I realized how retarded my statement was the minute I posted it, but was too lazy to edit it. What I meant to say is that 3DMark03 is mostly GPU dependant. 😀

Since everyone is posting their results, I might as well post a few.

Mobile C2D T5600 (1.83GHz) paired with a desktop GeForce 9800GT. This shows just how little 03 cares about CPU speed. 30.5K on a 1.83GHz CPU!

I got 11024 points with my Supermicro P3TDE6 with dual PIII-S 1.4GHz, 2GB RAM and 6800 (vanilla, non-Ultra, but pipelines opened and slight overclock (~10%). With Xp.

Many 3Dfx and Pentium III-S stuff.
