I'm using a SB Pro 2.0 and an AWE 64 Gold on a DOS/Win9x machine. I planned to mostly use the AWE64 for a joystick, SC-55, maybe audio for Windows games and the SBPro2 for digital audio/FM synth in DOS

I believe this is called an MPC-2 connector? The SB connector is called a "JST PH 2.0"?

My SB Pro 2.0 came with a cable that splits off to 4 different connectors on the opposite end... none of them are MPC-2.

If I want to connect the SBPro2 to the CD Audio would this cable do the trick- http://www.ebay.com/itm/MPC-2-w-clip-to-Sound … zAAAOxyVLNSxz8k ?

The AWE64 looks to have 2 CD IN ports including an MPC-2. Should I just get an MPC-2 <-> MPC-2 cable and use that? I'm thinking that any game that's going to use CD Audio isn't going to require use MIDI or FM -- or is that wrong? If not, I could just use the AWE64 solo for those games.

Why not run both cards simultaneously? Input the SB Pro to the Awe 64 with a 3.5mm TRS cord and mix in CD audio at that point via the MPC-2 header on the AWE.

I'm not sure I understand. I do intend to use both cards simultaneously...usually one for MIDI and one for digital audio but I thought I needed something like a https://www.amazon.com/rolls-MX41B-Stereo-Cha … r/dp/B0002D03AW for that. Are you saying I can just get a TRS 3.5mm to RCA cable and connect the OUT of the Pro2 to the IN of the AWE64?

Yup, absolutely. That's how I connect my SB16 and CS4232 cards (except both ends are 3.5mm, of course).
