Time for more necroposting (yay). Looks like you can manually set SandForce based SSDs to SATAI mode too. So it's also possible to use SSD with old VIA VT827 revisions, allbeit limited to SandForce.
I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.
