Hello,

I have a friend with a Windows 95 laptop and the FDD quit working. He wants to use a PCMCIA to USB adapter to transfer files, but I am not sure what devices were out there and if Windows 95 would support it. The closest thing I found doing a quick search was this: https://www.amazon.com/Adaptec-USB2CONNECT-No … /dp/B000GI0DEY/ but I'm not sure that would even work.

Can anyone recommend a device?

Better use CF card to PCMCIA and a USB card reader on the other PC. Win95 doesn't support much more than mouse and keyboard via USB. Every other hardware requires special drivers and there are none for USB 2.0 anyway.

That's what I thought for Win95 but I wasn't sure. But, maybe someone out there has successfully used some device with a driver on the OS.
