I just purchased some VLB controller cards and some Promise IDE-Max controller cards.
Also some 500mb hard-drives for very little money.

For about $250ea. I am going to have two very good 486 computers that I wish I would have had back in 1993.
My first 486dx-33 computer with 4mb ram and 120mb harddrive and 2x CDROM cost me $2500. ( Whoa ! )

Okay, I have all the parts in but I am finding out that this Gateway 2000 bios is a pain to work with.
I am having trouble trying to get hard-drives to work with this bios.

Work in Progress.

Update:
I have been able to get only one of my Gateway 2000 486 to work.

I had to use these parts:
OEM computer Gateway 2000 486dx-33
Diamond Audio card with IDE controller for CDROM.
3com 3C509 ISA Network card.
Original VGA WDC graphics card.

I have this computer loaded with DOS 6.22 and Win 3.11 for Workgroups.
Networking is working fine.

That's all for this post.
