I picked up an IBM PS/1 486sx the other day. Works fine. Just had to install a hard-drive and sound card.
Easiest IBM 486 install so far. Loaded with Win95c. PNP detected my Sound baster 16 card fine and loaded all the drivers.
EZ-Install.

I do need a better CDROM drive and Graphics card.

Stock config:
IBM PS/1 Consultant 2155, Intel 80486SX 25MHz, 32MB RAM, CDROM, 1.44 and 5.25 floppy.
Sound Blaster 16 Pro, NEW 530mb. Hard-drive.

I like the 5.25“ floppy drive. Fancy eject mechanism!

I just found resources for the original media.
I am going to put it back all original with Win 3x and DOS
Or should I install OS2 ?

What do you think ?

With 530 MiB HDD I would try both! You can dual boot DOS and OS/2.
