Hello,
I want to build an P-3 Tualatin computer.
I have a ASUS CUSL2 (Intel i815 ) Socket 370 motherboard with Tualatin support.
I have a Tualatin Pentium-3 CPU @ 1.45ghz.
( INTEL PENTIUM 3 Tualatin P-IIIs 1400/512/133/1.46 SOCKET 370 STEP: SL5XL CPU ).

I am not sure about the motherboard switch settings.

I set them to 133mhz. as the CPU and left the rest as default setting.

Is this correct ?

Do I need to use 133mhz. DRAM with the Tualatin or is 100mhz. DRAM okay ?

Motherboard manual:

Okay, I put it together but it wont boot. Black screen and I get a error beep that sounds like this.

It sounds more like an alarm that error beep.
It's one tone/siren that repeats. Takes about 5 seconds to begin as soon as I power on the computer.
I never heard anything like it before, nothing in manual about it.

Any Ideas ?

The CUSL2 doesn't support that cpu without a pin mod or socket adapter - do you have either or do you mean your board is a TUSL2 or TUSL2-C which do have native support for the cpu (that seems to be the manual pages you've attached and highlighted - the top page is an overclock setting and the bottom one the default setting for 133MHz / 100MHz CPU & RAM)

Yes, I made a mistake. It is actually an Asus CUSL2-C which only supports up to P3-933mhz. according to Gigabyte docs.

I will have to buy a NEW CPU.

Thanks.

Okay, I received the CPU yesterday ( P3-933mhz ). Put it in and installed WinME just because it's easy to setup.
Now what should I do with this computer ?
It runs really good, Solid build.

Current config:
Asus CUSL2 Motherboard
P3-933mhz
512mb 133 sdram
SoundMaxx audio ( Onboard )
AMD 10/100 Networking
Sound Blaster live 5.1 SB200
Nvidia Geforce 2mx 400
DVD
floppy
160gb Seagate 72,000 rpm Hard drive
450watt PSU
Case - Lian Li

I want to add a Yamaha XG YMF-7xx Audio card and maybe a Voodoo-3 3000 AGP.

What would you do with this computer ?

It looks a lot like mine ! 😀
- P3 1 GHz
- Gf 2 MX 400
- SB Live
- DVD
- floppy

I also have a Voodoo2 SLI on it and a Yamaha XG (not on the board since I don't see the point since there's already the SB .
I love playing UT with it. In fact, I just wanted to test a bit, and finally started a full new game 😀

The Live! is funny to play with EAX, I think I'll try to find some other games with EAX sound.

Okay, Something is not right with this motherboard setup.
At first I set all the DIP switched for 133mhz ram and 133mhz CPU and it worked fine for a day.
The next day it would not boot. So in order to use the soft CPU menu in the bios and bypass the CPU DIP switch settings on the motherboard, you had to turn off all the DIP switches on the motherboard.
However when I did this it does boot but my 933mhz CPU now runs at 1.1ghz.
Is this okay to use this CPU at 1.1ghz ?
Also I get two beeps at boot.
Other than that the computer runs fine.
