I don't bother with the first edition of 98, Second Edition with ME upgrades is what I always run.

Premio 212B motherboard (MSI MS-6112)
Intel PentiumII 333MHz Slot 1 66MHz bus
384MB ECC 66MHz
SIIG ATA133 controller --> Seagate Barracuda 80GB
SIIG Gigabit Ethernet (RTL8169) / USB 2.0 / IEEE1394 controller
ESS 1869 soundcard on board wavetable synth

Gotcha. I thought I would ask, since I have both available.

on 98se theres very few software patches I install, because all of those service packs and se2me transformations just make the computer slower. The only patches I find helpful are ones that extend hardware compatibility like USB or something like large hard drives or ram.

As a quick question, did you have a fan on your 350? Mine doesn’t seem to have one attached, though it does seem to have a bigger heat sink.

Yes, it has a fan. Still does. In fact, I removed the heatsink and replaced the TIM with Arctic Silver 5 a few years back (hence the minor damage to the edge of the plastic casing).

Would zip tying a fan to my heatsink work out for that? I don't have any specific mount points for fans.

That said, My heatsink isn't exactly small.

Also, I have added a fan to the Voodoo in the least professional way possible, since it was recommended in a separate thread.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. It'll probably be fine the way it is.

Okay, awesome. Now that my motherboard is unexpectedly in, I’ll be posting this in the build forum. Thank you all for the help.

So I managed to get the computer put together, but now I am having a terrible time trying to figure out what is wrong. When I start the computer, the fans all spin up, and I get a brief flash of lights in my keyboard, but then I don’t get video out. I’ve touched the back of my voodoo, and I feel heat, but get nothing from it. Is the card FUBAR?

Edit: the problem is with the motherboard, it seems. Since I can’t return the damn thing without effectively having spent the same amount on shipping as I did the motherboard, I’m just going to shelve this project for a while. Thanks to everyone that helped me, sorry to disappoint.
