I did, no file was generated.

Tried random old version (3.51.748) and it works.

That's very strange. Does the welcome window show up at least, or the BSOD happens before you get a chance to see that screen (and enter the Settings or press Run) ?

That's very strange. HWiNFO doesn't perform and hardware access before the welcome screen is shown, so this might indicate some other problem in your system, most probably driver/kernel related.
Is there any other special software installed? Do other tools like CPU-Z or SIV work properly there?

I just got this laptop and was unable to do a clean install of windows. I will do it later. Tried more random old builds:
351 okay
444 okay
504 and later BSOD
Does this help somehow?

Hi,

what is the HWInfo version working for 8086 ?
and for 386/486 ?

I did the same as you, downgrade my .MOD Player to 8088 😀

HWiNFO for DOS v4.4.1 requires 386+, all later should run on 386. The only issue is the conventional memory requirement. Hence I recommend to boot from a clean DOS 5+ without unnecessary drivers. Also make sure to load HIMEM.SYS and DOS=HIGH.
I don't have a record which version runs on 8086 anymore, but I suppose it was somewhere before 4.0.0.

Toshiba Tecra S3
hwinfo 6.20 gives improper readings from some sensors and doesn't have GPU data. AIDA64 has it.

Please provide the HWiNFO Debug File and I will try to fix this.

Any way to copy aida64 code? 😀

I don't need to copy/steal anything, I can ask Tamas (AIDA64 author) 😉
But AFAIR the method was pretty complicated and in the past I decided not to implement it.

GPU-Z should be also showing min/max if you click the sensor item. But not sure if it will support this GPU properly, it has issues with older models AFAIK.
Anyway, I will look into this how feasible it is to implement.

Which NVIDIA drivers are installed there? If your GPU driver would support NVAPI then reporting the temperature should be no problem.
Can you try to install this version: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults … spx/57493/en-us

It's a laptop from an age where only manufacturer produced drivers... So to install smth newer i'll need to work on inf files and so on. I want to skip it for now.
78.17 is my driver

Sadly that’s exactly my version. It’s manufacturer driver.
