As you seem to be motivated to do some testing: Remove one IC from each bank and each from a different position. You will see a different pattern for each bank in testext and will be able to distinguish banks 1-5 during your tests.

Can you try to switch also all other banks to keep it in one piece, e.g.
bank 1 4,375 100111 x11xxx
bank 2 4,875 101011 x1x1xx
bank 3 5,375 101111 x1xxxx
bank 4 5,875 110011 xx11xx
bank 5 6,375 110111

With the switch settings you listed, I get the words "IO PARITY ERROR OFFENDING SEG" flashing on screen after POST and then a flashing cursor.

The computer doesn't boot with this configuration.

Putting all the switches back to their original configuration (how I bought the card) gets the machine booting again.

Hmm, so I can get it contiguous and get 2432K out of it, but I can't get the last 128K it's supposed to have. I'm going to mess with the mode switches and see how badly I screw it up. Wish me luck.

EDIT: wow, flipping one switch fixed it. Can't believe that luck.

Switch and jumper settings are:
"cas" down
"mux" down
"0WS" out
"pen" 1-2 closed
"Bank 1" 11011100
"Bank 2" 11011000
"Bank 3" 11010100
"Bank 4" 11010000
"Bank 5" 11001100
"Mode" 11111111

J1 "0WS" is - obviously - the wait state jumper.
J2, J3, and J4 I have no idea what they do at all.

The first two switches on each "Bank x" set of switches changes the memory type. Might include the third switch as well, dunno. Mine is all 41256 DRAMs, so they all start with 110.
The next 5 or 6 switches on each "Bank x" set of switches changes the starting address of each bank, but in a weird way. They all have to move together or the card doesn't seem to work. Can't have any holes in the address space. Don't know why they needed more than one starting address, but w/e. It aligns in 512K chunks, I think.

SW6 "Mode" is all on and the card works, but turning switch 3 off will step the card 128K forward for back filling a 512K AT to 640K. I didn't need this, so I switched it off to get it all 512K aligned again. This card is now working.

Still nothing coming up for the AST RAMPage PC? I thought these were popular cards!
