Hi all, a long time lucker, and first time poster here.

I've come across a particular circumstance where I am bound to use ATX form factor but in need of 4 ISA slots with Socket7, Socket8, SS7, or Slot1. Without even a 2nd thought, I narrowed the focus of my search on "site:vogons.org" to quickly grab a list containing all the desirables, but ended up writing one. I just hope this is not a duplicated topic.

Let's cut the chase, and get to the bottom.

Socket 7

  • Abit AB-AX5 (430TX)
  • A-Trend ATC-5040 (430TX)
  • AOpen AX5T (430TX)

  • FIC PA-2011 (VIA VP2)
  • Gigabyte GA-586ATX (430TX)
  • Gigabyte GA-586DX (430HX)
  • Micronics M55HI-Plus (430HX)
  • MSI MS-5148 / "CLR Entrada" PT5-E AX (430TX)
  • Soltek SL-55A2 (430VX)
  • Soyo SY-5XA (430TX)

Super Socket 7

  • MSI MS-5136 P54C TR8 (430VX)

  • Biostar MB-8600TTX-A (440FX)
  • Chaintech 6ITM (440FX)

  • Intel VS440FX (440FX)
  • Supermicro P6SKE / Megatrends FX83A (440FX) #1
  • Supermicro P6SKS (440FX)

Slot 1

  • DFI 686IPK (440FX)
  • MSI MS-6112 (440LX)
  • MTech Phantom R653 (440FX)
  • MTech Stallion ATX-M668 (440LX)
  • Supermicro P6SKE / Megatrends FX83A (440FX)
  • Supermicro P6SKS (440FX)
  • Supermicro P6DKE (440FX)
  • Supermicro P6DKS (440FX)
  • Tyan S1684S/SA (440FX)

I'd appreciate if you can help me complete the list.

Welcome aboard 😀

If you want to compile your own list (or if you cannot find an existing one), you could perhaps use th99 as a source of names. I'm not sure th99 is completely errorfree though but th99 is at least very comprehensive.
Another site you could try is motherboard.cz.

But whatever option you end up deciding on, you will probably have to browse through hundreds of motherboards and naming conventions and exceptions to the blueprints (and perhaps also some exceptional blueprints). Some boards could feature 4 ISA slots but don't have all 4 potential ISA slots soldered to the board.

TIP: Put your list in a spreadsheet so it becomes easier to sort.
Some examples (or perhaps some inspiration) you could perhaps be some of the pages on the vogonswiki https://www.vogonswiki.com/index.php/Hardware_guides. Particularly https://www.vogonswiki.com/index.php/List_of_ … 70_motherboards one.

Micron M55HI soc7 has 4 ISA, do not think you will find any Slot 1 with 4 ISA due to the AGP but there could be some odd board out there that does.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. https://archive.org/details/@horun

A riser card like the Dell 16068 3-slot ISA riser board 486-P might be easier to find if you're up for case modding. Then you could even go past slot1 to A and 478. EATX or a bottom/dual mount PSU case would fit.

Gracias. It seems "Micronics M55HI-Plus" is the full name, but as soon as I can pinpoint non-plus version, I'll added that as well.
I, too, don't believe there's a 4xISA Slot1 mobo. But I'll leave it open just in case. 🙁

Thanks! It's added

Thanks! Added! Unfortunately, it's BabyAT board. 🙁

Could you kindly point me a ref? I can see a M-Tech R581A mobo review, but R548 is rather hard to point out.

I'm a faithful follower of "the school of overcompensation", but that dual PPro mobo carries only 3. 🙁
If you can hand me the rev #, It'll be a great help.

Greatly appreciate your tips. It already looks like I'll prolly have to setup a spreadsheet at some point.

Yeah, I forgot it has different layout to NX board.

If you can hand me the rev #

Rev #?

P.S.
Supermicro P5MMA98 has 4 ISA slots (Socket 7, 430TX). Also cost reduced sister of ASUS TX97-XE - Asus TXP4-X.
And here's some fun Socket 370 board with 6 ISA - DFI ITOX3

P.P.S.
Soyo SY-5XA (430TX)
CLR PC series (430TX) - no idea where is the model number, but here's ebay link for a reference.

I thought a revision of the model might have four.

Fantastic! I've added them all! I'll look for CLR PC model numbers.
Thanks a ton!

Btw that 6 ISA DFI mobo is, let's just say, out-worldly. 😊

I found very amusing that it also has SB-Link.

They made a (non-Super) Socket 7 version of that too, the DFI 586ITOX. 6xISA, 2xPCI, i430TX, and an onboard S3 Trio 64V+. Incidentally I discovered it has an undocumented 33MHz FSB mode which boots glacially slow.

BTW today I learned DFI stands for "Diamond Flower, Inc." The more you know!

OP asked for ATX boards and everyone is sharing AT boards, what did I miss?
