I have an old pc with the following motherboard fic va502. Who can tell me what the latest bios version of that motherboard is? I also cannot find which version I have now.

If there is a newer version where can I download it?

thank you for posting this link. I have no idea how I can see from these files which one I need and if I don't already have the latest version.

Filenames suggest some are newer than what you got. Back up the original BIOS and try the newer ones...

Yes backup your current to HD and try 110aj13, it appears to be newer (but might not be). The one in under int13 "ajw1393dc4.awd" is bad and can be found here: http://cwcyrix.nsupdate.info/ftp-archives/ftp … 7/va-502/int13/
which is another mirror of ftp.fic.com.tw and is definately newer.
Also: Wims BIOS updated some things in 2003 like HD support up to 128GB and that BIOS can be found here:
http://wims.rainbow-software.org/index.php?start=80&count=40
the ajw1393dc4.awd may be the same file.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. https://archive.org/details/@horun

Can anybody tell me which flashing program I should use to flash the BIOS of my VA502?

Try flash534 which is the one FIC listed at the time

Thanks very much, I used Flash534 and it went very well. I flashed the 1.13AJ139 (by Steunebrink). The result was that boot from CD-ROM-player went a lot better and harddisk (SSD) of 120 GB was detected. So for me it was very successfull.
