On Mac OS/X, you can press a hotkey to take a screenshot and it saves it to your desktop. No need to mess with the clipboard or pasting it into an editor, it's saved instantly and you can take as many shots as you want in a row.

Is there an equivalent way to set this up on Windows (7, XP, ...)? Or is there a simple 3rd party program that does that and virtually nothing else? I need to be able to rapid-fire screenshots with no further input.

Suggestions appreciated!

Greenshot is also a great tool!

Please use the "quote" option if asking questions to what I write - it will really up the chances of me noticing 😀

Thanks guys! I've been using Irfanview for years & had no idea it could do this. I'll give both of those a try. 😀
