Hello, I just received this mb rev 1.2, it is in pristine condition but i'm unable to find the bios and manual, it seems an obuscure model, it is different from the famous VLI-486SV2G (GX4) even the asus website lacks the proper page...

Any help?

Thanks

Yeah, on the long list of projects. Splitting it up in chunks per board or manufacturer...

I always wanted to do that too ! It has some boards that there are no other resource for.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Voltage regulators aren't populated so there is no direct support for 3V CPUs anyway. The regulators could be restored and basic 3V CPU support can then be achieved.

nemo , search in this forum as someone did a tutorial on how to upgrade the motherboard 486SV2G into a 486SV2GX4
at the top right of yout board you see missing voltage regulators, with that and other components you can turn it into a full 486SV2GX4

I own 2 boards a 486SV2GX4 and a 486SV2G, but the components are not available where i live so my only choice is to buy them on aliexpress in order to upgrade my 486SV2G.

I also updated bios of 486SV2GX4 to latest version so it supports amd x5 133mhz, which requires a flash UV eraser and an external usb flasher.

Thank you for the tips, I do not have a flash uv eraser but I have the eeprom programmer so this will not be an issue, my main concern is that my revision is quite old while the guide is for rev starting from 1.7.
Do you think it may be an issue?
