POD@100Mhz (40mhz*2.5)
Socket 3 Luckystar LS-486c (SiS 496/497)
256k 15ns cache
16mb EDO 50ns ram
SD to IDE adapter for storage

Am I maxed out for this setup or should I look for another motherboard or ditch the SD adapter?

Note the bus speed reported by Speedsys is incorrect.

I have a Cx486DX2-80.
Your memory timings are much faster, especially b/c something is awry with the write-back feature of my L2 cache.
However, my IDE linear read speed is 6971 KB/s in speedsys with a mechanical drive. This is with UM8672 VLB IDE.
Check your BIOS, make sure IDE block mode and PIO mode 4 are on.

Thanks, got those options set, so maybe just the SD adapter being slow.

Yes your cache and memory speeds are very good for a 486 board, no clue about SD IDE read speed but yours is way better than most period correct real IDE HD drives.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. https://archive.org/details/@horun
