I own a Compaq Deskpro XE system. It says XE 433 on the front, but it has a DX2 66MHz processor. Some time ago I tried finding all applicable Softpaqs released by Compaq on the archive provided by HP. Most of these were found by looking for "deskpro xe" site:ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq on Google, though some of them don't explicitly mention that they are for this machine. E.g. the cpqvesa vesa bios extensions for QVision.
I hope it's all right if I share my findings here by just posting the list of Softpaqs and their links. If not, I'll find someplace else to share it.
I often found very good info on Vogons and thought it would be nice to share my findings for this machine.

There are more languages available, but since I'm Dutch, I only searched for Dutch and English. The Compaq system setup partition can be created if you have both a setup and a diagnostics disk. I used mixed versions on my Compaq and had no trouble.

Diagnostics Test / Setup software
The following software can be installed on dedicated partition so it is accessible during boot by pressing F10 when a block cursor is visible in the top right corner of the screen. This software provides a graphical interface to change system settings / hardware configuration parameters (hard disks, port settings etc.). In any case you'll need 2 disks, Diagnostics/SETUP and Diagnostics/TEST. It is possible to mix and match versions, so you can get the most recent version of each.
