Would anyone be able to tell me where I could find dos drivers for this network card that would allow me to use ftp to transfer files to a dos pc if such drivers exist?
Also I might need some help configuring the card in dos.
Why would a network card need such big voltage converter chip as this one has? Have not seen such in other network cards.

That's a National Semiconductor DP83905 chip. The datasheet [1] says "Software compatible with Novell's NE2000/Plus industry standard", so I'd hazard a guess that it will work with a generic NE2000 packet driver. It's jumperless so there will be a utility to configure its I/O address, but you can probably just try all the possible addresses (0x200, 0x220, 0x240, 0x260, etc.) until you find the one that works.

Most of my old 8-bit ISA network cards have a similar giant DC-DC converter on them, too.

It's used for the coax port in 10BASE2 (thin) mode.

All my other isa network cards are 3com ones and I have not seen such converter in them so that is why I had not seen one before.

Here are NDIS drivers for DOS and autoset application (for DOS I think): ftp://corvus.izmiran.ru/pub/windows/drivers/n … ork/DP83905.zip
No packet driver though. However being NE2000 compatible, you may set up resources using autoset application and use those values with ne2000 packet driver.
