I have this mouse for 30 years now and I'm trying to fix it as it stopped working 20+ years ago (some wires in the cable broken). I already fixed the cable but I'm pretty sure the internal connector has pinout messed up as well - it tries to work but it struggles.

I need high res photo of the connector inside the mouse (or even better exact pinout of the connector vs db9 plug). I found some here: http://www.tcocd.de/Pictures/Peripheral/Logitech/mcj13.shtml but it's not clear. Mine had 2 wires swapped (perhaps stupid teenager HanJammer messed it up when first trying to fix it when it broke) so I guess something else is screwed up as well.

Any help will be appreciated.

I will dig thru my boxes but doubt have a CJ13 or CJ17, have a CC-93-9F sitting here but the pinout looks different on the board connector.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

I finally figured it out (by buying another M-CJ13 to check the pinout 🤣) and repaired my first mouse. What an experience using it again after 25 years.

Here are the diagrams for M-CJ13 and M-MC13 (externally they look identical, PCB is different - I guess M-MC13 is cheaper variant without PS/2 support). I know there is also Mouseman Large and Mouseman Left (left handed) version of this mouse - I guess it uses one or the other variant of the cable. Also pic of my three Mousemen - middle one is the one I've been using with my first PC 25+ years ago.
Best mice for late 80s/early 90s PCs if you ask me. Super comfortable and very high quality.
