I upgraded this Socket 7 motherboard with a copy of MR BIOS i found the Vogons driver library. It is amazing how much better it runs with this BIOS upgrade. I did have to reconfigure the devices in Windows 98 SE, which is not surprising. I was wondering if others had similar experiences with MR BIOS upgrades to their motherboards.

I now have support for greater than 8.4GB hard drives. There are tweaking options for the chipset right in the BIOS setup. I have now can have a boot Menu if desired popup when booting. There is support for USB right in the BIOS if I were to add a USB card. That is what I mean by much better.
that's nice, but i doubt the BIOS would be able to do much with an add-on USB card - as it is, the USB BIOS options for onboard stuff are already hit-and-miss on boards of that vintage. the marl board actually had onboard USB as a manufacturing option according to the manual, so that's probably what that option would be for.
