I have old software that can only be run on the AT motherboard. I don't have an AT case and have a dead AT PSU. I'm on a budget, so I can't buy a new AT PSU. Is this http://i.stack.imgur.com/5bjpN.png the best way to connect the ATX case's buttons to toggle the ATX PSU?

odd circuit, bizar to hook up the reset to the power. meh

Just add an SPST switch to the two loose cables, green & black.

Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.

For the power supply, you can use one of these: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002434776403.html

You hook up the spade connectors to a toggle power switch. (SPST switch type will work)

For the case, you'll probably want to use a ATX size case so the I/O shield and slots line up. You can use one of these I/O shields: Re: ATX I/O shield models for 3D printing -- if not, you'll have to cut some metal on a solid/blank I/O shield: https://www.amazon.com/SuperMicro-MCP-260-000 … /dp/B003TZQK34/ -- or use a stick on cutable I/O shield found here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1898100596.html

For mounting, you'll likely need to add/remove standoffs in the correct locations, depending on the board. New holes can be drilled and tapped to accept a standoff. The thread for common standoffs is #6-32 UNC.

I want to connect my ATX case's buttons to control the PSU, as in the schematic. @wiretap

Since a latching relay is dual coil, I use pwr button for on and rst button for off?

On cases I've done this with, just getting a latching 7mm x 7mm switch is usually sufficient.

Most ATX cases I've got have a momentary switch like this the springy kind, which can be easily replaced with the latching / locking kind of the same switch.

But you would need a circuit or something if it's a little pcb mounted tactile type momentary switch.
