I am looking at a new build with an MSI MS-5169 v4.0 motherboard I have. I haven't decided on a CPU to use. I was curious about trying a Rise MP6. Should I even consider using this CPU or would I be better trying something else. I already have Pentium, K5, K6, Cyrix MII builds, so that is why I was wondering about a this CPU.
While it's certainly interesting CPU from historical point, its performance is quite average. Not worth investment, if you're just curious and don't have it already in collection.

That is pretty much what I thought. I will probably pick one up to try out and add to my collection and go with a different CPU for the final build.

I ended up ordering a Rise iDragon. This seems to be a die shrink and runs at 2.0v vs 2.8v. Should be interesting to try it out.
