google says this for the vga : LSI Logic L4A0447 VC-004 Gemini, FCC-ID: A3LGTI-VGA1, GTI-VGA Bios, ISA 1990

mainboard : pc-chips m912 v1.7

Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.

The video card seems to be made by Samsung (according to the FCC-ID : A3LGTI-VGA1)

And it's a VGA card.

considering the 15 pin and 9pin connector including the dipswitches & onboard crystals, I wouldn't be surprised if this card also does MDA, CGA & EGA.

yeah, that kinda figured since nothing relevant shows up on google.

What monitor do you have connected right now? If I were trying to get this card working, I'd hook up a nice multisync vga monitor up to it, then try different dip switch settings (there's only 64 combinations 🤣 )
Allthough since I have an oscilloscope, measuring the signals on the appropriate pins, either on the 9 or 15 pin connector would give a clear sign of either the card working and what resolution it's trying to output.

Nooo 🤣 😑
I don't have any CRT monitor.

I had a vga card identical to yours, I ended up scrapping it for Ram and oscillators after it failed.

From what I could tell it behaved more like a first Gen vga card (1987/88) than a card from 1990, very slow.

Best leave it in a 286 system and get a faster western digital VLB SVGA for your local bus

If you google L4A0447 you might find pictures of a working card, like this one: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/286-cl … uter-3832702488
So maybe you can copy the jumper settings.

seems like only two jumpers and one dipswitch are different.

I have the exact same motherboard, but I never got mine to work. It's an Amptron DX-6900.

Jumper settings are here:

Sadly, that jumper setting didn't work too 🙁

Did you try this jumper+switch setting: http://www.vgamuseum.info/images/palcal/gemin … eminivc004b.jpg
or is that same as the worthpoint pic ? hard for me to see 🙁

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
