I'm looking to put together a list of laptops that had cool gaming hardware in their golden age, I need suggestions!

I mean, not just a simple laptop with an average graphics card, I mean high-end laptops from 1996 to 2003.

I know, I know, laptops aren't the best gaming platform, but I collect them! I also know that dedicated gaming laptops were not common until mid 2004.

I'll cite a small example: The Compaq Armada 7400, was a laptop built to be powerful as far as I know, most opt for economically viable hardware, but it was planned in late 97, and came out with an S3 ViRGE/MX that was a shy attempt to create a cool gaming laptop (no one at the time knew that S3 would be a failure)

Unfortunately the 3dfx laptop never saw the light of day, so what do you guys suggest?

I remember the boss of the small IT company I worked for in the early 2000's picked the Compaq Evo N600c for us due to it having the ATI Mobility Radeon and he wasn't against the idea of a few deathmatch games after work against his 3 employees.
It may not have been the most powerful laptop at the time though as we were limited to only Compaq and price would still have been a deciding factor. Still that played many a Quake 3 or UT game just fine

I think Toshiba 5005-S504 could be nice Windows 98 gaming laptop. With GeForce 2Go it is fast enough. High-quality sound perfectly complements this.
