It's a (very good) generic ATX case. Any ATX motherboard will fit. Apart from that it's all a matter of preference, availability and budget.

I have the exact same case with a Tekram P6BX-A in it. Iirc I'm runing a P3-600 in it, but not 100% sure. Something in that era in any event. But you could do anything from an Intel Thor (first ATX motherboard) to a new Ryzen 3 in this case if you want and add the appropriate PSU.

I remember this case model well. We used to build and sell systems with these cases back when I worked at MyCom in the late 90s and early 2000s. (a popular Dutch computer retail store back in the day).

It's a nice clean design.

IMO it's dual purpose as an easy bake oven with anything much over a Ghz, ~35 Watts in there... so leave room for cupcakes.

WTF. Most of us here need Inwin A500s for our motherboards, but here you are needing a motherboard for your Inwin A500.

Back in the day.... in the 90's and early 2000's I would almost always modify the cooling on any case I used.

That case is just begging for a 120mm exhaust fan hole in the top of the case and an intake in the bottom front of the case - looks like it already has a mount for a bottom front fan.

Also, better airflow and lower noise could be had by cutting out the super restrictive fan grill in the back of the case. Mount a fan there as an intake fan there as well.... if you add a 120mm exhaust fan to the top of the case that is.

Wil those couple mods, you should end up with a case that has internal temps staying at or very close to ambient temps.

Since you are going PIII, I say go for a PIII 1.4s. Why bother with a slower one? Not like there are any games that are going to be speed sensitive that you would be playing on a slower PIII.

You just need a motherboard that can support the Tualatins. You could even go with something like an ASUS P2B-DS (Dual Slot-1 with onboard SCSI). An updated BIOS will give you Tualatin support and you will just need compatible Slotkets to complete it.

Yah, early 2000s definitely the case manufacturers were slow keeping up with cooling demands, I mean top brands like Antec etc were fairly on the ball, but my budget demanded the $50 cases not the $250 top of the line ones that were the only option for cooling done right at the factory. So I was cutting out the barely perforated 80mm grilles and putting decent fan and wire grille on them, adding "blowhole" mods etc. The late 90s K6-2 build had suffered a bit in the warm weather too, but it's case was 5 years behind state of the art for it's time so that had to cope with a higher cfm 60 in the back and a drivebay left open in front.

Yes, I want a FAST Pentium III build.
Since I am going to use Win2000 I want a Fast system.
Fast Hard drive, RAM, and CPU.

So I want a good P-3 motherboard that can support all these features.
Probably a Socket 370.

And a Fast Network card.
And what’s the Best Video card to use with Win2000 ?

I already told you what motherboard to use. Since you want W2K, then you want a dual CPU board. The P2B-D and P2B-DS are what you want. Then for drives, you will want a PCI Promise SATA controller and use SSDs for the drives

You said you wanted fast, right?????

Edit: for dual CPU boards, see here for S370:
https://www.vogonswiki.com/index.php/List_of_ … 70_motherboards

For a test of different boards that support Tualatin, see here:
Fastest Tualatin Chipset / Best Pentium III Motherboard

Here ya go, a dual s370 board with AGP, PCI, and ISA that already has 2x Tualatin 1.4s CPUs and 1GB RAM.

For the low, low price of $399.99

Forgetting the replacement 4x256MB 6ns PC-150 RAM, dual CPU water blocks, chipset block, and chiller, then something to keep the dust out of the AGP hole like a GeForce 7950 GT AGP.

Hey, the original motherboard that was in this computer had a via chipset and a 1.4 gigahertz Celeron CPU.
Do you think that motherboard would support the 1.4ghz Pentium III ?
Its a Socket 370.
It has 3 bad caps.
Is it worth saving.
I don’t know what make or model this motherboard is ?
