Hi on my new P4 board I have an option to change the CPU host frequency.
What is it exactly? the standard value is auto and line lower is "actual frequency" with 100MHz but greyed out. if I lower this value, can I also slow down the CPU for some older games? But its not the FSB or is it?

Yes it is likely for FSB and you probably could slow the bus down to 66Mhz.
What exact make / model motherboard is it ??

its an Asrock P4i45 GV. The lowest value is 50mhz I can go down. So theoretically i could slow it down to 1 GHZ?
interesting is, that the board has no 12V connector. only the big 20pin one.
You can only go lower? usually you would want to go up for OC 😀
