What would you say the compatibility of the Intel i845 chipset with windows 98 and why are so many people saying that the i865 chipset is better with windows 98?
Also what would you say the best version of these chipsets (845E, 845G, 865PE,865G etc..) for windows 98?
Any Intel chipset up to and including the i875 has great support for Win98(SE). I take PCI-E as the cutoff point. AGP: Win98SE, Pci-E: WinXp.
Anything before the i915 should be good for 98.
