Board on UT: https://www.ultimateretro.net/en/motherboards/1131

There is a different board in existence: Asus A5P - https://www.ultimateretro.net/en/motherboards/858
And that board exists in both 512kB and 1MB cache variants. For the second one, it has TAG chip on board. For the first one, it uses TAG inside the chipset.

For the Biostar board, it is 512kB only, but it has the TAG chip physically present on board.

So that maybe suggests that just replacing both the cache sram and tag chip for larger ones might work?
Am i missing something? Or maybe some of you have already done it?

Thanks!

I looked into the bios with modbin. It has a hidden selection of "cache tag size" or something similar. It is set to have value of "8" and it could be changed to "10".
With the latter value, maybe 1MB cache is viable on this board?
