Seems like new Intel processors will be called.... "Intel processors". At least for mobile, but who knows?

Luckily, all my retro CPUs are intels, mostly Celerons and Pentiums 😀

I kind of miss the days they used numbers only 386, 486 etc. AMD could use the number scheme as well, so Intel went with Pentium and that's how it all started.

Yes, and I do not like how Intel has changed the Core series. It used to be (until a few years ago) that a i7 was better than a i5, even if the i5 was the next gen over i7. Not any more....
Now a new gen i5 can be equal or better than last gen i7 and they are pumping out the next gens in barely 6-8 months... 11th Gen release: March 30. 12th Gen recently released. just an example....
So if you are into the newest Intel CPU or any core type just wait 6 months and it be out done for cheaper on a lessor Intel cpu. And again and again ...🤣
ok back to vintage stuff ;p

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

F in the chat for the sometimes mighty Celeron, but the Pentium name should have been retired before the P6 architecture. It denied us the Sexium.

I thought IBM was born with the world
