Hello everyone,

I have encountered a strange problem and am looking for help or an explanation.
If you have any ideas, please let me know. ^^

Ok, so the problem is this:

I replaced the Lindy game controller card in my Nixdorf PC by an old Aztech sound card.
At first, the game port wasn't beeing detected and I figured that it was disabled via jumper.

Okay, so I changed the jumper - a fool prof 3 pin jumper were no shorts can happen (1-2 enable, 2-3 disable).
- Strictly speaking it's just two jumper pins, the third is not connected (just for mechanical stability).

However, this didn't help. The BIOS did nolonger detect "JOYSTICK" as it used to do during post months ago.
Even after re-installing the, Lindy card, it didn't detect the game port. I've also attached a working joystick, just to be sure.

In the mean time, I removed all the other cards (XT-IDE Lite ad Hercules clone with LPT1) and swapped slots.
In none of the slots, neither the game card's game port nor the Aztech sound card's game port is detected.

Not even in DOS via SysChk and MSD.

What's also strange: The Adlib portion is detected, but not the Sound Blaster.

Any ideas heartly welcome!

I'm also using a patched BIOS for my V20, but it didn't cause any trouble in the past.
Anyway, maybe I should double check the EPROM that I burned.
