I have a couple of Roland PMA-5 midi synths, and was looking at a Yamaha MU10...
They all seem to have a "serial" port that looks like a Mac ADB port, with a switch labeled MID, PC1, PC2, Mac.

But I can't find any more information on any such cable to connect it.

Part of my interest is that I would like to connect them to Mac SE/30, or maybe even my Amiga.
For the Amiga I could probably dig up some RS232 to MIDI adapter cable; for the Mac, an RS232 to MIDI connected to an ADB to Rs232 adapter.
A bit kludgy, tho.

Does anyone have any information on this type of connector? Am I completely misinformed about it being a serial port?

So, I did some more research, and it appears the serial port is a Roland DBF-3 8-pin(?) port.
So I would need an RS232 or RS422 to DBF-3 adapter (emphasis on 3).
It's a round din plug like the Mac ADB ports.
