This weekend I am trying to set up an OpenStack environment on some Linux machines I have running around. I aim for 1-2 compute nodes and a controller computer. Should be fun !

Hockey shouldn't be played in places that never naturally have their own ice.

In other words, if you can't shinny on a pond at some point during the year, you shouldn't play hockey.

Had the house to myself on Sat, so I spent my weekend playing with a Pentium 90 with the FDIV bug. It devolved into a fight. I'm not sure who won.

Indeed. Floridans can wrangle alligators instead. Imagine trying to keep alligators where we have real winter.

Friend has an RX300 that I've spent enough time working on auxiliary lighting-- now he needs help (or at least moral support) changing its transmission filter. I might end up doing it this weekend. If not that, I help him do the engine and transmission mounts on his '01 Corolla.

Surely there's some beer in it for me...

Friday: My children came for the weekend. Cooking dinner, watching BBC's Planet Earth.

Saturday: Watching a movie with my children, buying cake and cookies, having my parents for a visit for coffee, cake and cookies. Dinner was take away fast food. My daughter and I had burgers, my son had nuggets and fries and my girlfriend had a pizza. Helped my son assemble a Lego Technics building kit. Buying a Commodore64 with extras.

Sunday: Watching doku about Europe with my children and I am going to drop them off at their mothers place later on.
Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

Friday: Cleaned and reassembled a newly-acquired clone of the AST 486SX/25 I had as a kid. Woohoo! It works! PSU re-cap in progress...

Saturday: Made a new IDC cable to interconnect a Creative PC-DVD card with the VGA feature connector on a Voodoo 5, and another one to connect the Goldfinch AWE32 Upgrade card audio output to the Wave Blaster interface on an SB16. Upgraded the RAM in the 486 to 24MB, ran diagnostics, installed DOS. Went out with friends to try pottery -- made the world's worst bowl -- and a new Korean restaurant. Love some stir-fried squid!

Sunday: Installed Win 3.1 and MSVC 1.5 on the 486. Band practice.
