Ah, my latest acquisition: Origin's Pacific Strike.

Anyway, am I the only one thinking that both Pacific Strike and Wings of Glory are way harder than Strike Commander? 🙁

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....

Hehehe... Thanks bro. It is actually a pretty hard game, even harder than Wings of Glory IMO.

Somehow I missed this thread. I've bought TONS of games during the years, even in this year.

Games I bought this week are:
Tomb Raider Collection (one disk is scratched but meh, was only a few €'s
get Medieval (2nd backup disk), this game is hilarious! 😜
Creatures (absolutely no idea if it's fun, but it's got a low sysreq...so...
Battlezone
Mortal Combat 3 🤣!
Worms
Star Command (no idea here)
and 2 ancient Mahjong games of which I hope one is the version I used to play years and years ago. Very low sysreq

Bought a couple games yesterday:
Command&Conquer for DOS! 😁
Command&Conquer:The covert operations 😁 😁
Alien Carnage (no idea if it's good, but it works on a 386 😁)
Asteroids (a remake, min specs = P1-133)

The C&C disks I already had but covert ops is harder to find and the DOS version of C&C isn't the one that went for free. Anyway, I really liked the series 😀

Edit:Heck, I got a looot of pics to take of these games 😜

Alien Carnage (no idea if it's good, but it works on a 386 Very Happy)

This is a re-release of Halloween Harry, one of my favourites. Its a great fun game, the 2d VGA graphics are really nice and the soundtrack is excellent particularly for a DOS game of that era.
Apart from the name change and the level they give you in the shareware version they are pretty much identical.

It's actually been released as freeware, you can download it from 3d realms website for free.

Cheers! But I´m still happy I got the original CD of the game. Was only €0.75 euro anyway 😁

Can you post a picture of the CD/box?
I bought a boxed registered copy of Halloween Harry when I was a kid, played it to death.

Here's the one I had
halloween_harry.jpg
although mine was on CD and included a few additional shareware games too.

Picked up Hard Truck Big Rig Game at a thrift store for 50 cents today, kind of fun old Semi racing game with CDDA tracks.

Also picked up a couple of Sims 2 expansion packs, but only because they were cheap, and my mother likes the game. =]

Its a red letter day for me!

Star Trek, new worlds. I'm looking forward to this one!
img058r.th.jpg

SEALED Top Gun fire at will. I also got the OFFICIAL joystick! (if you can believe it, I actually got the game and joystick at TWO DIFFERENT thrift stores) it is NOT the usb version either, but the DB-15. YAY!
img059uk.th.jpgimg079f.th.jpg

Star Trek: The fallen
looks like a Q2 clone with DS9 skins
img060c.th.jpg

Conquest: frontier wars
img061t.th.jpg

World War 3 (I wonder who the protagonist/antagonist would be in this one?)
img062p.th.jpg

The Sting
img063l.th.jpg

The Final Cut
I have no idea what to expect here.
img066vb.th.jpg

WW2 Attack
4 (probably) crappy games for one low price, YAY!
img067bg.th.jpg

The Shadow of Yserbius
looks like a neat dungeon crawler / D&D clone
img068d.th.jpg

Silent Service II
If its anything like the LAST sub game I played this one will sink right next to it...
img072l.th.jpg

Red Baron
(with a "16 color version" sticker)
img071uz.th.jpg

I LOVE games like this. The manual in the thing is big and heavy enough to give someone head trauma! The maps that come with it are C size paper. (18x24) and apparently the last person that owned this game sent in for a replacement disk, and I have both the 16 color and 256 color versions! WOO!

While I admire your new additions to your collection, what I admire far more is that massive collection of Taco Bell hot sauce packets you have carefully safe guarded behind Top Gun and the such. In fact, I think the games in the pics are meant to just distract would be looters from spotting the real treasure there in those lovely tasty sauce packets and nabbing them for their selves.

REAL MEN put hot sauce on their food. While it looks like a big pile, its really only a neatly stacked handful.

Heres the pic of the games I bought recently:

th_DSC00725.jpg

I already had 1 copy of the C&C + Covert Ops but now I have backup copies. Also the C&C is the DOS version, not the one for windows and it has lower system requirements so should work on my 486 😁
