I heard it was built for man paws not kiddie hands, so I also would like to try one sometime.

First attempt. Wish me luck cause I heard this thing might be cursed.

It's a longshot and to me it looks like one of hundreds, but does anyone recognise this particular i/o layout, and can make a guess at what type of board is in there. It's a woman selling it "practically brand new" (doubtface) but there's nothing to get a clue from whether it's anything useable apart from the shot of the back there. If it was in the city I'd just go look, but it's 30 mins and $10 worth of gas away...

edit: points against it being younger than about 10yrs old, no blue USB 3.0, no HDMI

No Case Fan mounted, VGA and DVI output but a single PS/2, and it probably had a discrete video card at some point. I would peg it in the 2001 to 2005 range, maybe later, but I wouldn't bet more that $1 to that being correct.

Thanks. I'd have guessed later than 05ish though because of provision for larger than an 80mm fan, which was rare on anything but high end cases until later noughties.

I had some notion that it looked Acer Aspire-ish, and despite the metalwork on a few of their case backs seeming very similar I couldn't nail anything down. Their systems by the way, late P4 thru Core 2 seemed to have "fisher price" block color coded i/o plates, so not one of those maybe. Intel was putting VGA on boards quite late, I saw ppl complaining, but then also business systems seem(ed) to come with VGA really late as well, I was seeing 10th gen core with them on.

Since it has a single combo ps2 port it might be Am3ish or around there on the intel side. Looks like the IO layout on a lot of lowend AMD boards from the 2010ish area Iv used. The modernish case and PSU design fit right in that era as well.

For 5Euros each I couldn't resist - ZX H55-m ITX motherboard made by some unknown company. Its LGA 1156, but the manufacture date is late 2019, so I assume it's one of those motherboards made with recycled chips The guy I got it from assured me that it works, but even if not, for the price I'll take the gamble. Gotta love the branding on the box. Ordered a cheap Xeon off ebay for it and will pair it with a Radeon HD4890 for an ultimate SFF Win Vista build.

And a Xeon E3-1275. Used it to replace an i5 2400S in my home office work PC.

I find it weird how old Xeons in most cases are WAY cheaper than i7s and even i5s, despite being the best binned chips.

Combined PS2 ports and a digital-only DVI port suggest that it might be 2010 era or newer.

I was thinking it was a lost cause anyway because seller had not replied but got a "more details when I'm not at work" message today so IDK.

I completely ignored the intel socket saga through the last decade, so been trying to figure out what xeon goes on what desktop boards, because I noticed that they seemed to be a lot of performance for cheap.

2008 Imac and a 2nd gen i3 HP AIO. Imac works but the HP did not come with a power supply and they appear to be $40 🙁

The normal price here in Denmark is 190 to 205 US Dollars. I got mine at 140. Green was the only color left. 🙁
Unlocked and without user subscription. I can simply not live without a phone, and it looks like an ok phone.
I will get it in the mail, one of the following days.

As long as you put the cover on snuggly, you shouldn't have to worry about the Moto drowning.

Thinking about buying a couple E5-2697 v2 CPUs for my server. I am seeing listings for them under $100 now. So tempting.

A (2002?) FUJIFILM FinePix A201 2 Megapixel digital camera I bought at a Thrift store today.

Its not very interesting or special, I saw it had a SmartMedia™ Card in it so I bought it to add to my small collection of old and semi-old stuff.

Here is some pictures of it, the SmartMedia™ card it came with and some pictures I took using it.

2009 Alienware (I had to do it, I’ve always wanted one) M17X R2 with dual Radeon Mobility HD 5870 and an i7-Q820. This should pair nicely with an eventual 2009 desktop build featuring a Radeon 5970 in either a Silverstone Temjin TJ07 or FT01.

yes, I paid too much, but I want to play Cyberpunk properly.

A second Sapphire Radeon HD 5970, this time boxed.

I’m running out of excuses of what to tell my wife why we need another GPU in the house. I’ve lost count and completely don’t know where to begin 😉

Say it's for mining vintage bitcoins, the ones that got stuck in the couch cushions of the internet circa 2009-2010.

Samsung S3-Mini is not water proof. But this was a long time ago and the Motorola that I bought did not drown at all.
