I found this Logitech G27 wheel complete with shifter and pedals and the original box in a second hand shop after work today.

The pedals and shifter seems unused and the wheel seems to only have been used a few times as there is no wear at all. The 24V 1.75A AC adapter is missing though. The price was 350 SEK = 34 euro...

I did a quick function test using a laptop adapter to power the wheel and everything is working just perfectly fine. The G27 will be a nice upgrade compared to my Logitech Driving Force GT.

AND... I wasn't expecting to score anything this modern anytime soon, but I lucked out on this Optiplex 7010 for all of thirty bucks. It's completely stripped out (it didn't even come with any RAM), but it has an i7 3770 which is far and away the most powerful CPU I've ever owned, and is in pretty good shape all around. Even came with a valid Win7 Pro sticker.

I might end up re-building the workstation (see above, currently an LGA771 Xeon) with this setup, or this CPU in my other 115x board, although neither of them have as many PCI slots as I want. Or I'll use this for my video capture PC and replace the HP Athlon 64x2 box. Or I'll replace my Win7 gaming machine (which is a Core 2 Quad.) Or I'll just combine all three into one and dual-boot. Options!

I notice its missing the hard drive rails.

These are what you need.

Thanks! I actually ordered two of the plastic caddy type, which is what my work PC has:

Looks like there's more than one option for these.

Finally I found and acquired a Cosmos II (for my main rig) on sale. To say the truth, it came as a little disappointment, since it's build quality and attention to detail was nowhere near the original Cosmos 1000, it feels more plasticy at least.

I also had it's fan controller not working (an SMD on the controller PCB is fried) but online support was very helpful at the end, after several messages going back and forward. At first, they admitted their controller is problematic and suggested me to use the mainboard connectors instead and even offered free cables to make the connections 🤣. I demanded a replacement anyway and they managed to send it in a super quick way (From US to Turkey in less than 3 days is really awesome).

If I can neglect the fact that it's not a Cosmos 1000 class case, I really really loved it's size, it's capacity, it's everything. Now my modern(?) C2Q main PC has a stupidly cool case 😊

I have a Porshe with Toyota Corolla engine inside 🤣

Man, IT'S HUUUGE, even bigger than midsize AS/400s from the past. It's 22 kg when empty...🤣 :

The last parts for my new PC arrived.
I'm a bit nervous because it's the first time that i try to install water cooling and of course, not making it easier, for my first build i decided to go with hard tubes.
The main specs are:
AMD Ryzen 2 2700x
Asus Strix AMD Vega 64
32GB RAM
1 Samsung M.2 512GB SSD
1 Samsung SATA 1TB SSD
1 Crucial SATA 512GB SSD (I bought that a few month ago, thought it was a good price, now i got a 1TB drive for almost the same price 😐)
Monitor: Acer XF0 XF270HUAbmiidprzx 1440p 144Hz FreeSync
Case: Corsair Crystal Series 460X white
The cooling parts are mostly EK Waterblocks.
And of course RGB galore! 😉

Edit:
It's alive!
DFDxdG4l.jpg
Now i just have to install it with the watercooling installed... 😐

Amazon HD 10 tablet.
Well, I have actually had it for a few months now.
It’s NOT an iPad by any means. It’s more like an Amazon purchasing device.
Where amazon can sell you Music, apps, audio books, movies, magazines, Amazon store items and books.

It is not bad for a $99 tablet. And is probably the best all around tablet behind the iPad.
I don’t like the Microsoft surface because of constant updates, browser locks up and reboots.
The Amazon HD 10 runs on Android OS.
It is pretty stable and reliable. Many of the problems that plagued this tablet in the beginning had been resolved.
This version of android now supports gmail, YouTube, google, full web browser, and office apps.
All which are FREE,
There is an App Store for purchasing apps and games but many are FREE.
Speakers are loud and clear. Louder than my 2017 iPad .
Display is okay 1440p i think and bright and clear.
One app that I really like is PlutoTV where you can watch live TV.
Alexa is really cool and voice commands are great.
I had this Logitech k480 Bluetooth keyboard lying around and it works great with this tablet. with this keyboard i can take screen shots with one button.
lots of hot keys too.

It’s NOT an iPad but for $99 it’s not bad

there is no need to do that with this edition of tablet because most apps are available from the Amazon App Store.

So it is not perfect?

No, but Alexa assistant voice commands are really nice. Just tell Alexa what you want and she will try to fetch it for you. This is a first gen tablet I think so new versions will only get better. But it is pretty nice so far.
For an inexpensive tablet they packed allot of features into it. I would not buy this over an $250 iPad definitely. But if you are on a tight budget it’s not bad. But definaletly get this Logitech K480 keyboard as it makes using this tablet easy. It’s definitely a tablet for a Red Blooded American with lots of Republican content.

Yes, This is the only version of the Amazon tablet I would even concider of purchasing as the small versions are under powered and performance is not good.

Good choice. Gonna do the firmware hack on it and enable full bandwidth and all the features?

On Saturday morning, I went to Microcenter for 100 packs of DVDs and Jewel cases, and came out with an ASUS PCE-AC55BT that does Wireless AC1200 (867Mbps @ 5GHz, 300Mbps @ 2.4GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2 (Windows 10 would throw a code 10 and 43 error, and the audio driver says access denied). However, the Bluetooth driver keeps acting up (throws code 43 and I cannot find anything online about how to fix it).

An IRC friend sent me an Optiplex 3010 he had lying around for the price of shipping, which was $24. Ordered a Dell USB 3.0 card + SSD for it.
