You can resize it however you want, change the aspect ratio, zoom in & out the font, and even go full-screen BTW. Fun little app.

hah, yeah- I have this on my Linux installation at work for shits and giggles. Pretty cool, but it'd be nice if you weren't limited to a preset font selection (would be nice to use my oldschool PC font pack with it).
Too bad that the phosphor decay effect (which it terms "burn-in" for some reason) is jarringly linear rather than exponential. 😁

I stumbled upon this a few months back. It works very well and is fun to play with. Might be a window manager bug, but on Mate there is about 3 pixels of empty space at the top of the window above the monitor bezel.

It's emulating old monochrome & composite displays from the early '80s, not VGA... I think the "IBM DOS" preset is supposed to resemble the original 5153 CGA monitor, but is even worse than one of those. It's just for fun after all. 😁

It's on Github. Why won't you send them a Pull Request?

I installed it from PPA and works very good on my E2180 with GT210 on Linux Mint 17.3 MATE 32 bit 😀

Saw it a couple of years back, when it was still beta/alpha or something. After a failed installation, I simply gave up on it and forgot.

I like the idea. It simply reminds me of my times in front of a Vax terminal in 1995.

Why is everything so fuzzy? All my CRT monitors had a clear, sharp picture. Unless this is supposed to emulate a CRT TV. But who would want a TV as a PC monitor?

You can allways change some setting's, and do a custom setup of the terminal program.

So sad it is written in a useless language which makes it "open sourceness" useless from the point of view of adapting it to anything that is not initially designed for. When someone writes something like this in C/C++ then I will be more interested.
