Its been a long time since ive been on her, lately ive been keeping a few select machines around and selling off everything else and getting more into classic console gaming.
so who else on her dabbles in retro gaming.

It would be a cool idea if vogons had a section for console gaming and emulating, since everyone on here is for the sole purpose of getting games to run on a pc kinda the same thing right? There is a lot to setting up a console for best picture quality. Just my opinion.

I play my retro consoles on occasion, but not nearly as much as my retro PCs. I've got:
Atari 2600 (given by a friend who bought it new). Came with a faux wood panel game holder, doubles as a console stand. 30ish games including ET 😀
NES (bought new around 1991) with about 20 games, including gold Zelda with my savegame from 1991 still in the original battery 😉
Dreamcast bought new around 1999 with probably about 20 games too. Favorite game is Soul Calibur
Wii bought new.

Really fun for short diversions or when we have company over.

What do you have?

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

Yes, but only emulated to keep the collecting in check, PC is where the nostalgia is. I did have a SNES, GameBoy, CD-I (yes, really) and PSP. I've kept (and bought) all the original controllers for the emulated consoles I play (for 'maximum authenticity'). Next to the ones mentioned I occasionally play Sega CD, 3DO, GameCube, PSX, PS2 and Dreamcast, but mainly the console-exclusive or better ports of titles of series I know from PC.

Yes, although it depends on your definition of retro. I like obscure games but generally only on mainstream consoles/pcs.

For Console I do pretty much anything NES or newer including handhelds.

For computers I generally only do 486 and newer as well as some old Apple II and other pre Intel stuff. I thought about getting into Tandy. Commodore 64, Amiga and others but with emulation where it is I can't really justify it.

Safe spaces are a joke and Gun Free Zones kill people.

Ok wow....I really am drunk...

My woman owns a Playstation1 (last big original model), and I own a Playstation2 (Version4) and a PSP (first model).

We never play on them, not even our Ps3.

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.

Just got the Nintendo NES classic because of.. fond memories. I guess it counts as a yes to your question.

I have about 15-20 ways to play 8bit and 16bit games accurately both natively and through emulation. Yet every time a new gadget comes out that I can either run these old games on, or hack to run emulators on I simply must have it.

Unfortunately I missed the Amazon sellout. Going to look at my local stores tommarow. One of the good things about living over an hour from a major city is there is less competition at the local stores.

Only those eastern europe yellow cassette famicom clone gaming. Especially Contra and Power Blade 1 and 2 😁

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.

I think I only have a NES stored here somewhere and perhaps a N64 with broken controllers.
Only thing Nintendo I used recently was my old Gameboy, which still works even though I dropped it recently 🤣

PC gaming is pretty much my main thing I suppose, especially now that I have systems covering most era's set up, but I've done and still do a lot of console gaming too.

Don't have a recent picture of everything but I have this old one of my systems and this slightly less old one of some things actually set up.

The games I've played are on the Backloggery site. I do a bit of console modding too.
