My Channel is PCetroTech. This weekend I hope (but cannot promise) to put up a video about a new 486 build I've been working on. Just trying to get the case all cleaned up now.

Unboxing and part 1 of my Monotech PC NuXT build.

Unfortunately after like 6 render attempts I finally got it to work but there is a short section from about 3:53 to 4:31 where the video blanks out several times. You can skip it or tough through it. It was 3 hours of troubleshooting then 3+ hours of rendering and another like 12 hours of processing on YouTube. I'm just going to have to leave it that way. I put a warning in the video description as well but I'm sure I'll get comments on it. 😁 This happened because the video editing software I use doesn't seem to like the video files off the Osmo Pocket I used. I loaned my normal 4K Camera to a friend this weekend, but will have it back on Monday and I'll start on part 2.

Aaaaaaaaanyway, I hope you enjoy it. As always I do all my videos with very little prep work, so you see most of the same issues I might run into. Hope you enjoy it.

Wow; that's some beautiful hardware - and seeing the GNU license in the BIOS boot text was very satisfying! Really enjoyed the video, and have subscribed.

Glad you enjoyed it! It really is some special hardware. I'll be doing a followup to the video going over some of the things that didn't quite go as planned in the video as soon as I can. Thanks for the great feedback.

We speak about the machine, the company, we look at product line and then we sit back and enjoy a bit of King's Quest III and Space Quest I on Atari.

Just watched.. The one question I wish you touched on was battery life: How long does a full charge last?

I enjoy your Atari coverage.. I hope you do one for the XL/XE machines as well. Now you have 400/800 and ST so it seems like the perfect episode to fill the gap 😀

Will you be doing a more comprehensive video about it? Black modern looking atx case is rather intriguing..

Yes, I had planned this for about a year. I need to lug the machine to the living room and get the kids out of the house to be able to do that 😁

But year, I still plan to do a video about the ATX case. Maybe when I install the 5.25" drive...

You have kids? I always thought you looked incredibly young to be this much into retro tech. I guess you are just gifted with great genes. 🤣

I'm still waiting for my daughter to grow up a bit more so that we can play some Amiga games together. 😎

Well, I am almost as old as the Atari 2600. and over the next years you will be able to see more of my hair disappear in the Thumbnails. 😁
Our kids are also still a bit too young for actual gaming, but give it a year or two and they’ll be there.

We're in the same age bracket (and I guess our kids are too); no wonder I like your content, you hit a nerve on things I'm most curious or nostalgic about.. Hope your channel really picks up (and I bet it will as the quality content builds).

Thanks! Well, it surely is picking up speed now, although it's still tiny and just an evening hobby. The first year was very low key. But view counts and subscribers have increased quite a bit the last 3-6 months.
