A few people liked my "Christmas in Finland" photos so I thought I'd share a few from my birthday visit to Brooklands. It's an motor and aeroplane museum, which historically was a race track.

In the 1920s...

Now...

This has flown New York to London is 2 hours and 52 minutes...

This flew Greenland to Ireland in 15 hours and 57 minutes (well, it's a replica)

This is the Sultan of Oman's Vickers VC10

A Vickers Vimy. Apparently this particular replica was also used to re-enact the Alcock and Brown flight from Ireland to Newfoundland. Fantastic!
